Mabamba Swamp Experience

This 1 day birding trip will take place in the wetlands known as the Mabamba wetlands found in Lake Victoria in Wakiso District.

These wetlands are characterized by the Shoebill stork besides being a habitat for a variety of several other bird species.

Note: You should book in advance to ensure availability and avoid disappointments.

An optional pick up can be arranged from your hotel or you can get to Nakiwogo Entebbe or Mabamba Site to start your tour.

This tour is run by the community and all proceeds stay with the community.

When you find us at Mabamba Swamp site, you pay $60 inclusive of a boat and guide.

Entrance fee is $8 per person. A boat can take 1 - 3 clients, and the tour takes 2 hours.

When the tour begins from Nakiwogo Entebbe, it takes 3 - 5 hours.

Discounts are available for groups.
